Car / Bus AI is crazy ?
Hello,

Do you play with AI collision ? I ask this question because I think it's pretty weird because other AI cars / buses don't care about rules. They make accident and after a message tells you that it's your fault (hit and run...).

I think I should deactivate this option may be, or is there something I don't understand ? ^^

Nope, I don't play with collisions. The AI has some problems (some are produced through little mistakes in Add-on Streets or Crossings, others are just mistakes by the AI) and it drives much more comfortable without collisions.

Yes I turned it off because AI is not the positive point on OMSI 2. Thank you guys !

Traffic AI in most games that have it is problematic at best. In Omsi 2 its simply retarded.

Then again, driving in RL makes you long for AI drivers. XD

I think the Collision Option is geeared to the ten year old kids, (I'm serious) that want the crazy driving asw part of the way,. They play the game. I have that option turned off, and the AI is still pretty scary. Especially the German drivers in their PKW's. Theyy can be so stupid it's obscene, but that is a wofrld wide problem, not just a German one

I turn off collisions - so much more enjoyable. I agree with lanky64. I think the craziness of the AI is in there for the younger players. Turn it off!

Yes Mate Keep it turned off. That what I do, because as you said the Ai Traffic is very weird and very crazy

I agree with kieraneaston12, keep it off. I mean I love the /everything works/ sort of simulation,
but geeze, waiting for the cops to show up? Thats a bit too /works/ XD

Sadly,..I've had to turn the collisions with vehicles off. I keep it enabled for passengers and objects like street furniture but the A.I is just crazy! I'm upset about that because it takes away the challenge of driving a bus in busy traffic.

In comparison, the A.I traffic in Euro Truck Simulator is considerably better than in OMSI. There are a few crazy moments but nowhere near as crazy as in OMSI.

I only hope that when LOTUS arrives the A.I traffic will be much improved upon.
