OMSI Bus Simulator 2 - Badly Optimized Graphics Engine!
Hello everyone who is reading this discussion,
As you can see I am a huge OMSI Bus Simulator fan and I love playing it every now and again, however I have negative thoughts through out. My laptop runs on these speculations:
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Edition
Processor: Intel Celeron CPU N2830 @ 2.16GHz 2.16GHz
RAM: 4.00GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Please tell me what is required for my OMSI to be more stable and well optimized because I am aware that MR Software haven't made OMSI graphics engine very good and it is badly optimized so please if anyone can post to this that would be a great help! Thank you for your support.

All you can do with this game is really install the 4GB patch and just play with the settings to find what settings work best for your PC.

You can't really expect Omsi to run on a laptop. Their CPUs are mostly, like in your case, not fast enough for Omsi. You could try the following:

Go in the Options, AI-Traffic, Road Traffic Max. Count Unscheduled to 50 or less, Scheduled to 2-3, Humans Max Count to maybe also around 50. Also in the Sound-section, but the Max Sound count down, maybe around 200.

For the other Settings, make them all quite low, your laptop probably doesn't have much ressources for anything. The most important thing is to get the load off the CPU. And sadly, nearly everthing is processed by the CPU...

Well I have done this and it doesn't seem to work :(

Yes, because the 4 GB patch isn't an miracle cure. Try my advice, maybe this helps a bit.

You won't have much luck on an Intel Celeron tbh.. OMSI is CPU heavy

Sorry I haven't been able to respond but I have tried your settings and they work also with the FPS Limiter and 4GB Patch is has a small difference but it's better as I can run OMSI on a stable platform now, thanks for your support

I was thinking of getting a gaming PC but I have had another user give me support which has helped keep OMSI stability better
first buses Jul 22, 2016 @ 2:06am
i tried if you reduce the number of AI busses to around 400 or 500 instead of 1000 mine now runs most of the time stable and move the most inportant thing to 4 with no road traffic no parked cars

Why people buy absolutely low end laptops and try to play games on them? Its for movies, office and internet. Buy a pc.

Well, if people have unlimited funds to dig in to, buying a gaming laptop is the "solution" to all our problems...

Is no matter what PC you have, is about the settings in OMSI. Period.

I have done every bit of the AI Settings to a very low setting and it is still playing up it's probably the graphics card I am operating on

Thats a good statement really! I am wishing to sell this for a gaming PC or gaming Laptop see if there is a difference although they have hugely improved graphics card on the iCore cards!

Yep! Going to do that eventually or upgrade the graphics card to an iCore series

Exactly I understand where you are coming on about this! OMSI isn't well optimised as we can all see as it was made by a couple of game developers but if anything they should forget about bus DLC's and work on the optimisation
