4gb patch

hi can someone advise me, i cant seem to run the 4gb patch that i downloaded. it keep bringing me to copy paste to omsi 2 fie only. isit my laptop have issues?

you run the program then find and select the omsi2.exe file and press ok, should say that the file is patched

I dont understand what is wrong. why are you copying and pasting it? You dont put the program anywhere, you run it from where ever it's downloaded to and then you select the directory that omsi is in and select the onsi.exe file to be patched

Follow there instruction and do nothing else! I presume you have omsi on steam for this???

1) Download the 4gb patch from the above link
2) extract the 4gb patch from the zip file it comes it, extract it to desktop
3) double click the 4gb_patch.exe that is now on your desktop
4) it brings up a window to search for the file you want to patch, to find the file goto C:/program files 86/steam/steamapps/common/OMSI 2
Once in there scroll down to Omsi.exe and select it. at that point you should get a window pop up saying executable successfully patched.

Thats it, all done

DO NOT copy anything to the omsi folder, the 4gb patch.exe does not need to be copied or moved anywhere just run it from where ever it is!

When a game is made in 32 bit your pc will only allow it to access 4gb of ram and no more! This patch basicly changes things so that the game can access more ram and therefor make it run better and/or more stable. It'll work with any 32bit program and it does work. It should't be needed really because game makers shouldn't make 32 bit games any more but that's only my opinion lol

This game is from 2011 and then 32 bit was quite normal. Secondly 32 bit games use no more then 2 GB of RAM, the patch set a flag to the omsi.exe to use 4 GB of RAM, hence the name 4GB Patch. ;)

No, 32 bit applications use upto 4gb
