I think it's quite fun riding the coach around the city and town streets of any map DLC. It really tests your driving skills.
Yes, it's not realistic driving a coach on passenger routes but I role-play by imagining that there is a shortage of buses due to unforeseen circumstances so therefore we had to loan a coach from a company to cover the line for the duration.
Those lucky passengers get to travel in style if they are lucky enough to be on that line.
I just looked at it on Youtube!
It looks pretty good... Thanks for the recommendation ^^
That's great ! lol
It's all about roleplay... haha
They should seriously make some maps for coaches though.
I know i'm 8 months late, but yeah! There are several brazilian maps that are perfectly suitable for coaches. Some are longer, some are shorter, some are highly detailed and some are pretty simple, find the best for you. IMO the best ones so far are "Brasil Viagem", which has 3 maps:
Brasil Viagem Beta, their very first release, simple but good, ~2 hours trip.
Brasil Viagem BA, it is set in Bahia state, better details and a 4 hours trip.
Brasil Viagem Xtreme, this one is a payware (BRL 25,00 or USD 4,70) but it is so far the best one and totally worth it, highly detailed, it has 6 routes that vary from 1 to 3 hours but the longest takes about 8 to 10 hours and crosses 2 states - Ceará and Piauí. Although it is a payware i'm not finding the official website anymore, just pirate links :(
btw check out some brazilian coaches if you want to match with the maps. I reccomend EdsonV12, an author that makes impressive and extremly detailed coach mods. Brazilian coaches are pretty good tho
I highly reccomend checking these out. It takes the game to another level, another perspective. It's a great experience if you want something different.
Thanks a lot for you reply!
I still get notifications, so no - you're not late! :)
The Rheinhausen DLC offers two interurban lines. 45 (linked with city line 15 though) even has a short section of motorway to the next town and line 31 goes cross country for some villages.
I grew up on the German countryside and at least in the 90es there were small local companies operating the cross country lines and school buses. Instead of buying dedicated buses for line running they would mostly use older coachbuses for lines and school traffic. Mostly the ubiquitous Mercedes O303, but sometimes a more exotic MAN SR280, first series Setra S215HD or a Neoplan Jetliner.
