What do you mean with stuck?
You are pressing ALT and if you quit the game, the OS is still pressing alt the whole time?
To prevent this, you must reinstall OMSI 2 (after uninstallation, delete OMSI 2 folder in Steam directory) without OmniNavigation.
Also have OmniNavigation too.
Anyways, what I found helped is pressing the Alt key a few times, it returns the functionality back to how it should be. Annoying AF though!
Also, you can re log-in to Windows while in game to fix this, but sometimes after re-login keyboard will not work for OMSI 2.
I don't know why they don't care enough for this.
He seems to do a great job at keeping BCS running well, so hopefully it'll get looked into once he realizes that it is happening. Wonder if it's also a keyboard things (US vs. German Keyboard), maybe something about one isn't liked by the other when it runs...
I'm not exactly sure as I'm not much of the programming type.
Not sure I can drive without it .. would be nice if the bug was fixed though. :(
Would hate to have to take it out considering that the moving map is the only reason I continue to drive omsi as trying to learn the route with those arrows is on the verge of pathetic.
at least tapping it a few times makes it unstuck.. what gets me is that it persists sometimes into after the programs are totally shut down. Thought it is the only software that I've loaded thus far that has done it.
Funny I own two copies of OmniNavigation.. one with a key .. and the steam version (just thought the steam version was easier to install) never had this issue with the stand-alone key activated version .
Might see if I can install that one in the meantime.
I simply choose to not use the OmniNavigation (and BCS/CCS) because it kills performance, disable/switch key bindings and when it's raining, screen will froze but game will continue to run (it's not a crash, this is different).
Only maps that I have drove mostly with OmniNavigation are Ruhrgebiet and Mallorca because arrows and bus stop markings are terrible on these maps. I'm not missing too much.
I'll not install the other version then.. I stopped the Steam edition from running automatically and OMG wow..
I've been running Paris Moulon with very little success as of late. The second I turned off OMNI Navigation I was able to do the run without massive 10-20 second pauses .
Thanks again everyone as I had very little reason to suspect OMNI. . sad I've been using it for so long without knowing that it tanked the sim so bad. I cannot wait to do do other maps now.
Hope they look into it .. considering that its sold directly on Steam now. I'll just have to make due with the sometimes very confusing default arrows in the meantime.
Hope that Aerosoft and PeDePe will have solution to this problem.
I sent e-mail to Aerosoft about this bug.
I was not able to run the route with OMNI Navigation active properly. Shutting it down has made the route, and other large maps, at least bearable to drive.
Seriously .. I dropped most of the options to bare minimums and STILL had the massive lag spikes (20 seconds sometimes) ...
Now that OMNI Nav is disabled the route has the usual standard 2 second pauses instead with settings a LOT higher. which is a lot more bearable.
This is a totally different porduct, topic and dev.
I have currently no information about this.
When i shut down OMNI navigation .. I was able to run the routes with minimal pauses..
same with london..
