Having opened the map, decide on the route you want to drive. Using the plan of Berlin X10 that comes with it, you can look at all the available routes. Pick one and spawn the bus at one of the termini of the route.
To spawn a bus press 'alt' to bring up the options menu and click on the top left box - with the picture of a bus on it.
Select your bus from the top drop down menu.
Select the variant from the second drop down menu.
Select the livery.
Select the depot. This is where you need to be sure you pick the depot for Berlin X10.
Finally click on 'OK', confirm the location and the bus will appear.
2. To be able to follow the route and know where bus stops are, press 'alt' again and turn on the Help arrows by clicking on the box with a '?' in it.
This shows arrows and route numbers for you to follow and highlights bus stops with a green 'H'.
3. To be able to pick up passengers you need to select a timetable for the route and set the route indicator on the front of the bus to match the selected route.
Having spawned a bus, press 'alt' again and click on the timetable box - middle row, on the left. In there you pick a route (line) number and a tour number. Pick a tour that matches where you are and the current time. You can alter the time using the 'clock' symbol if you want to - but only before you select your run.
Finally, set the route indicator on your bus using the IBIS machine - the box near or combined with the ticket machine.
The method of setting routes varies with different buses so you need to read the manual that came with the route/bus.
4. You CAN drive any bus on any map - and pick up passengers provided you have the correct HOF file copied into the bus, and when you spawn the bus you select the correct depot.
Good luck.
Where do i find the manuals exactly?
The problem is it's not possible to know where you need to spawn the bus before setting up the route. I don't know how to get to the first stop because i'm on the other end of the map. I'd really like to spawn at the bus station and then drive to my first stop for realism reasons.
I tried to copy the hof file from berlin x10 to the hafencity bus and when i enter the route the ibis shows no stops, instead a paper with stops list appears.
Thank you for the help i appreciate it.
