Bus Company Simulator too many installations linked to account.
I've done a few uninstall and re-installs of OMSI 2 recently and now when I try to log into Bus Company Simulator it says my account has too many installations and I'm locked out. I went to the support page for the company and it says to log in and "reset shortcuts" I cannot see any option like that anywhere.

Anybody have any idea how to fix this?

I've got the same problem. I have two gaming PCs, both of which have my Steam games on so that I always have a backup PC if one should be give me any trouble.

Therefore I have Omsi-2 and Bus company Simulator on two PCs. However, on one of them tonight, I had to uninstall BCS and then re-install. Now it has locked me out of BCS saying I have too many installations.

The message says I have to contact peDepe. Whaaaat, I thought the beauty of Steam was unlimited downloads on your own account.

Hi Wispy. I found the answer in the 'Help' section here.

Simply click on the 'Support Centre' tab here at the top of the forum. Then simply click you Username in the top right-hand corner. This is where you can reset your installations for BCS, AOD, and Omni Navigation. Once reset, there is a time period of seven days before the next available rest becomes available.

Everytime I click on support-center it takes be back to the login page. I login again, click support center and it takes me back again to the login page.

I take it you're registered with the forum?? Then you can register the product?,..maybe that's got something to do with it. I've just reset mine with no problem by clicking on that 'Support Centre' tab and then clicking on my registered Username which is the the one you chose to regster on the forum with.

Other than that, I cannot think of anything else.

As I mentioned above, by clicking on the support Centre tab. There are four picture icons, BCS, Omni Navigation, AOD, and some oddball game which I have no idea about. Anyway, I clicked on BCS and registered my product, it then gave me the opportunity to reset installations which you do by clicking on your registered Username. I did my Omni Navigation while I was there as well.

Hmm, I don't have those options. Just asks me to login again by clicking support center. Same thing happens if I try to open a ticket, just asks me to login and then sends me to the forum. Guess I'm out of luck.

Are you absolutely sure your registered Username on the forum itself is 'Activated' Did you recieve the activation number via email when you first registered on the forum??

I did recieve the activation email. Click it, said registration complete. I even just double checked and it said account was already activated.

Ok, then your situation is strange. Once loged into the forum you should just be able to click on the Help Centre tab which brings up the next page showing the Omsi products I mentioned above. It's here that you register, or connect your games with the PeDePe account. It's also on this pagee that you see your registered forum Username in the top right-hand corner which you click on to reset installations.

Sounds like you're being booted out of Help Center tab sending you straight back to a login page as you already described so it sounds like something has gone wrong with your forum registration. I'm only guessing on that of course.

Can't really advise any further I'm afraid.

Yea strange. keep us updated Wispy, I'd be interested to hear the outcome, it might help others too with the same problem in the future if they should stumbe on this thread.

You'll get it fixed soon enough, hopefully PeDepe will sort you out or another member on the forum. If you have a Facebook account, then maybe post on there as well.

This installation resetting thing though is a pain in the wotsname. We shouldn't really have to do this. Many of us are constantly uninstalling and reinstalling for various reasons. This is the only Steam game that I've had this kind of issue with.
