OMSI 2

Is BCS worth it for Singleplayer?
As per title, does BCS have enough content to be interesting in single player? (I don't generally play multi player games) and is it reasonably stable now?

I prefer the single player mode. You pick you starting map, buy a bus(new or used) and then drive routes on your map while you save up for more maps and buses. You need to earn career points in order to unlock the ability to buy more buses and maps and money to buy them. You can test on each route and what ever score you get for example 90% for the punctuality, no crashes and driving score, you then get 90% bonus money for that route when you drive it. It would be nice if you could hire AI driver to drive for you but that is not currently an option and may never be an option. In multiplayer you have to drive the companies selection of maps and buses so you may not be able to drive your favourite buses and maps if the owner doesn't select them.

Playing with BCS makes it easier to play OMSI 2. It give you the mini map navigation which make driving a route easier than the arrows. It will most of the time let you now the code to use in the ibis.

The navigation on the Aachen map if currently broken but everything else is much more stable than it was on release, most of the issues they had were in multi player.

I have some single player videos on twitch you can have a look at so see more coverage of the single player mode "gcookscotland1" they will have "omsi 2 single player" in the title. I can't recommend BCS enough it is a game changer and ive ignored most of my other games that I bought on the summer sale due to me not being able to play anything but BCS.

For me NO still not able to finish a route in single player, what with java messing about an having to re verifiy files every time i play.
Maybe it's just me don't know

Grazer, do you have the 4GB patch installed it helps with crashes, OMSI only uses 2GB or your ranm and the patch allows it to use 4GB. Not sure whats causing the issue with re-verifying files, that's weird.

Thanks guys... think I will have to take the plunge :-) I don't have Aachen so that is not an issue. Couldn't get your vids to play on twitch gcookscotland, said content was unavailable but found one or two others on youtube. thanks anyway.

I have the 4 gig patch also re do it every time i put a new map in the game.
The thing that bugs me is the java binery or what ever that keeps on failing.other than that the base game is great, Just when i run BCS.
