Busbetrieb/Bus Company Simulator DLC first look
Hey guys,

Just released a first look video looking at the new DLC that released today! With the multiplayer servers completely down, I decided to look at the single-player aspect of the game and will have a look at multiplayer tomorrow once it's all calmed down.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsYEZ2JJzHo
FINALLY connected to the servers and joined a multiplayer company, let's take a look at how the online mode works and see how this UE4 engine stuff works.

Do leave a like if you would like me to continue this as an entire series, and subscribe too! Just completed my exams and returned for hiatus today, the future of this channel looks bright! :D

The aim of this addon was for PeDePe to combine his bus company and OMSI map addons. Throw in a simple bus depot in UE4, and there you go. 😂

Your breaking far too late. And keep a eye on the temp insode the bus you was above 27C and that would not be fun for you or your passengers. But intresting to see what the add on brings to the game.

PeDePe has effectively ripped people off. I, and many others have already purchased the two individual AOD and Omni Navigation addons he made which are the same thing incorporated into this new thing called Bus Company Simulator.

He will no longer support the individual addons. Well,..certainly not AOD.

So all you have here is a little depot where the buses are kept. PeDePe has hardly obtained any licenses from companies such as Halcyon, (Berlin X10) or even MAN themselves in which those buses can be displayed in the bus depot. All you will see is a plain white generic single decker bus in place of the unlicensed vehicles.

I have AOD but gave up on it because hardly anyone used it. Nothing will change here in Bus Company Simulator because it's still the same thing.

People start off with good intentions making a Bus Company and hiring people but then close down not long afterwards because the owners either get bored with it or have less time to commit.

Yeah, the way you put it does sum up the attitude towards this add-on. As someone who had bought neither add-on, I do like the combined map/GPS and Company features that this software includes and at around £18 the price will do it for me. But for those that already owned either add-on? A 20% discount at pre-order, which Airsoft did themselves anyway.

While the multiplayer aspect is fun (IF you are one of the lucky people to connect to the server that is!), it definitely will not last with such a niche userbase. The UE4 environment can also be a little weak in some areas, and is something that needs to be improved in graphically over time.

PeDePe would really need to tap into the userbase however. OMSI will easily reach out to over 1000 players a day concurrent. Get enough people to actually use the add-on, then maybe it's worthwhile - Generally helped by the fact that it is now official and on Steam.

Otherwise, the single player aspect of this add-on is the only thing that will keep this all afloat. This may be plugging my YouTube channel a bit here, but my aim at least is to keep one company on multiplayer going for as long as possible. I like my OMSI series and with so little content, I'm running out of ideas. At least this add-on gives me something to do, and I'll try and milk it for what it's worth! 😂 But first of all, I need to earn enough to buy my own company... 😛

this Addon needs a lot of work, it is nowhere close to a finished product, sorry. If you think of getting it wait a few months, so the patches and features it should have had are done.

If you like searching for updates, this is the addon for you!

I've seen on youtube people saying it gets stuck on updates because they reckon his servers can't cope with the number of people who have brought this. The only thing that intrests me is the map which could be handy on routes that have afew differant end points.

Speaking to the developer himself, servers being overloaded is the reason why connecting or doing anything with this addon is near impossible at the moment.

That leads me onto another problem - Can we not play offline or without an internet connection? The answer is no, since the program will also forever search for an update. This needs to be sorted, I've messaged the developer about this.

I am not gonna lie, I don't think that release could have gone any worse than it did. Servers down, multiplayer down, minimap down, UI buggy, total mess. Hopefully it will pick itself up but right now? It's doomed.

I want to like this DLC, I really do, but the way it came out stopped that for most people.

I want to have this product - But I am wondering if a refund is the way to go - maybe then download it in a month or so - all of these problems - why can't they just put a decent product out in the first place? It is really discouraging.
Wispy Jun 23, 2017 @ 8:40am
Yikes! Was really thinking about buying this DLC but holding off to see if they can fix it. For the same price I'd rather invest in some additional routes.
Merlin Jun 23, 2017 @ 9:22am
It's a shame this has gone the way it has because the idea is good.
Stringbean Jun 23, 2017 @ 11:01am
PeDePe should have left AOD and Omni Navigation as it was, i.e, two original working little addons that worked perfectly independantly of each other.
EngineerKenny 123 Jun 23, 2017 @ 1:54pm
Well for me, Stringbean, OmniNav worked perfectly. But OFTEN in AOD, the timetable assigned by AOD did not match any of the runs from OMSI - Very bad there.
