4GB Patch?

I have never seen OMSI use more than 1.8GB on my system, i have setup OMSI 2 with fairly average settings, sometimes increasing them.

Does the 4GB patch ever come into effect? Have anyone seen OMSI use more memory?

I didn't check whether OMSI with 4GB patch uses more memory than 2GB but it certainly runs smoother.

The Large Address Aware flag does help to a certain extent. Having multi-threading enabled helps as well, though does make the game potentially run in a more unstable fashion. However, I haven't had issues with the multi-thread on so far, so maybe that was fixed in some patch since I last played the game? I dunno..

Is the patch still needed with the latest steam version?

Wouldn't hurt to apply it .. I find that without it the game has greater pauses during loading while driving .. sometimes up to 10 seconds in some cases. The 4GB patch just about eliminates that.

10 Seconds loads, wow I though mine was bad - I get 3 to 4 seconds loading tiles max. I have started trying out SoftPerfect Ram Disk to store the maps... I think it may be working a little, not sure yet

I have applied the patch & it does appear to have smoothed things a bit.

Suprising really.. considering that I'm loading off of a very high speed SSD drive. OH well.. Still the best bus simulator around.

I cannot wait for what they have been cooking up.. hopefully it will not be a step backwards but a major advancement from the current OMSI.

x64 for starters would be nice.

At least the 4gb patch fixes up the long midgame loading times.
