Only bots?

So.. There are only bots to play against?
Everyone I meet have strange names, and seemingly just spawn behind me.

Tried deathmatch, battlegrounds and tdm. Same goes for all modes.
Or is this something thats in place until you're high enough level?

yep, they're all bots and there's at least one or two in every lobby, even at the highest levels
you won't ever find a full player game, there'll always be bots mixed in

Here's how to spot bots:
-Bots never have pets in early levels ( not sure about later)
-They sometimes (randomly) can just flat 1-shot you with basic weapons
-Names/skins are the same between bots ( there's a pool of names/skins that they use)
-Bots use the same weapon/have same gear (out of a pool)
-Overall behavior is "dumb" and unrealistic. Notably they can clip through walls at times.

Was afraid they had crossplay on for a moment there, and that PC-players got matched with mobile-gamers.

there is crossplay, you are gonna get mostly matched with pc players but if there isnt enought, the mobile players are gonna get mixed in

Most of the people you encounter in this game are bots. The only modes that dont have bots are team strike, duels, and battle royale.

You can check who's a bot by checking your match history. People who dont appear on the player list are bots.

This game is almost dead, 90% of all time i play they put bots until someone apears and they disapear.
