[Spoiler] SPAZ 2 Ending: Did I screw up?
This is obviously a spoiler, since I am hoping to get some insight on the ending of the game.

Spoiler Ahead.

So in the end, I managed to defeat Jamison in the most ingenious way possible. The ending cinematic, the final boss as well as how you've managed to outwit the ultimate copycat is nothing short of ingenious. However, It would seem Jamison is still alive, inside my mainframe, plotting his revenge. Is there a way to defeat him for good? Or perhaps he will make his reappearance in SPAZ 3? Since there are no achievements available, I would think he is untouchable at this point, but I just want to be sure I saw this story to its end.

The real ending is in SPAZ 3. We should see that one around 2025.

I came back from the future to tell you there's no more steam because Donald Trump built a firewall.

Did he make Cliffy B pay for it?

That be cliffhangar ending. A cool one I thought. Gets the brain a pondering! I liked what it implies. The whole time Jameson was talking how he is in control, etc and blah blah. But he is able to outhack the ship AI when he cannot even turn on a computer without breaking it? Hrm hrm.

Honestly, I'm kind of glad he survived. In a sense, he was a hero too -- by bringing back the zombies, however briefly, he gave the galaxy an emergency shot of rez. That may have bought humanity some time to work out a more permanent solution.

In general, Jamison is a fascinating character and he may be my favorite in this franchise so far. I'm not sure I'd want an alternate ending where he's erased.

(Though everyone knows by now I'm a zombie sympathizer and would love the chance to become the Alpha in the sandbox mode)

The thing is that Jameson might be pretending to be dumb. He fooled us into believing there's spam coming out of the computers in order to get us as far away from the base as possible. He also managed to know Don Gibson's weapon access password, which he may not have gotten purely by searching through his belongings. There's also the possibility that he "hacked" the AI just by thinking about it, since his power is immense, he porbably doesn't need to know coding in order to hack computers; his power will bend to his whims.

Although this may not be a bad thing. Some terrible creature may emerge in the future, and Jameson might just be the resource that knows its weakness.

In the end dialogue, doesn't he even say he knows nothing about computers or was that sarcasm... hrm hrm... I am thinking he is posessed though! A pure instinct from the creation of the universe imprinted on his mind. Hence the early game dialogue about the Entity being so old, can it really be destroyed? The original entity was just the vessel destroyed, not the passive conciousness that drove it? Never played the first one so only know the story from what was in the campaign and info blocks.

Ahhhh...the feeling that you made a crappy ship and you could master it :D I could easily take out me...my ship...that he copied. I couldn't believe that my first ship was a such a crap xD
The zombie stuff seems to be evolving. And since the ship is made of rez, and he basically IS the spirit of rez, he can not only control it, but is more or less unkillable.

His face is horrendously creepy though

I just beat the final battle, it was interesting but not that hard, I liked the surprise of fighting previous versions of your own ship, it's almost like the game showing how far you have come to make it here and how much stronger you have become. My ship turned my previous versions into butter quite quickly, and I thought fighting my own ship would of been a good challenge but I still beat it easily, mostly because half the time it wasn't shooting at me whereas I was focusing everything on it, inc the kitchen sink launcher.

There is a kitchen sink launcher? Do you have a video of that? Sounds fun. And are there other easter egg weapons?
