Space Pirates and Zombies 2

Space Pirates and Zombies 2

Zobrazit statistiky:
How is ship commanding? Maximum units?
I've been trying to research these since I learned that the first game had a maximum of 4 ships, which disappointed me greatly and I'd never call it a "fleet". What I read around about this one doesn't clarify it. The second game actually caught my eye first with the modular building but I looked at the first because this seems to be too early in development. So, are the tactical view and the rts-like orders still there? Can you command more ships this time?
Thanks in advance.

This game isn't really at all like the first one. It's much more of a reimagining of the first game than it is a true sequel. You play as a "mothership", and you can have fighters that you can deploy. You can control any of your individual fighters yourself, or you can order them to attack a specific enemy. That is all you can do with them.

P.S.- SPAZ2 is near completion and there is PLENTY to do. More than enough for a full game, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Oook, how many fighters can you deploy and how do you order them? Do you only choose a target instead of the tactical view and they all focus on said target?

You only choose a target for them to attack, that's it. You can tell them to move to a specific spot as well. You can still only have 4 fighters deployed max. Plus your Mothership, so you actually can have 5 ships in total.

If you want a good idea of what the game is like, I recommend watching Arumba's Let's Play of SPAZ2 on Youtube. It goes over virtually everything the game offers.

Hey telling them to go places is good enough for me, I'm not asking for patrol, stop, guard...
4 fighters only sounds bad though, I think it's a pity
Actually you can deploy over 24+ fighters with modules such as zapper pair, defender pair and other special carrier items. It also allows you to get 4 major fighters as well.
Wait what. Why did the previous poster not know? Are they high level unlocks or something? Those are more attractive numbers. Are all those customizable too btw?
The aren't high level unlocks you can get them at lvl 1. Thought the fighters themselves are not customizeable(the ships themeselves). However there 4 are different varients.

first type are Defender pairs: have a range of 150 but blow up projectiles and other fighters and deal most effective damage towards armor
2nd time are zapper pairs which have a range of 600 and are most effective agaiinst shields
3rd Type are bombers which are good against health of the ship and have a range of 750(You get bombers around large parts are unlocked)
4th Type are ion bombers which only deal damage to shields at 750 range and are unlocked at large parts.

Overall you get the higher number of fighters with a carrier build as the game later goes on. You can buy the parts custom order parts from getting 1 point into trade then going to catalog and you can get any specific parts you want for 500% times the price. Note fighters docks/parts are under special.

Note the fighters listen to commands same as your regular major fighers. Also your major fighters can also have fighters(Strike craft)

You can have up to four STRIKE CRAFT at a time; these are the ships from SPAZ 1. Fighters and bombers are not even close to the same thing as strike craft (strike craft can carry fighters, for example); you guys are a bit confused, I think.
A full 21-core carrier setup can have 168 zapper drones deployed at once, if that's your jam. Set the ship up in a pillar formation (3 cores across the top and back, 15 down the spine), use a large nose, large engine, 5 large wings on each side, then 4 small wings in the other slots, all with zapper drones (as they have the most drones per hangar). Then use 4 Gold Digger strike craft, as each one can deploy another 16 zapper drones. Enjoy your cloud of lasery death!

is that actually viable??? i been a lover of drones since the first spaz and i usually like to play summoner in other games ( basically tell npcs to fight for you lol), in this spaz i been trying to get good with drones, i usually win cause of atrition but takes forever sometimes and lets not talk about 1 or 2 annoying starbases with too many drones/flaks/miniguns.
Fighters/bombers ARE viable, but imo slow, boring, and very, very vulnerable to fast, strong direct-fire builds, at times. *spoiler* They also face a strong disadvantage vs. the final Zombie boss. Most late-game builds use at least some fighters, if nothing else for pure defense, but over-dependence on any single type of weapon is often a mistake.

Again, however, it's viable, if you want to go that route. And yes, your fighters/bombers receive the proper bonuses (perks+synergy).
I'm reading stuff I like more, thanks for the info guys. One last question, can you command (as in, select and tell to go there/attack that) all deployable ships? Including drones or are those like weapons?
All of them is controlled by one button "E" - movement / attack / defense / grouping on the main ship.
Also drones can only be attacked by anti proyectiles weapon ( minigun/flak cannon/drones), that type of weapon is used against missiles.

While strikecraft is like a small ship that follows you and can be attacked by whatever you get attacked too.
Thanks guys. Can I have an example of this?
"All of them is controlled by one button "E" - movement / attack / defense / grouping on the main ship. "
What things could you do with a few ships and drones deployed? How do you deploy? Separate input?
