I don't remember the first three otherwise I'd give clues for them, but here are the others.

Brownie Hint: It might be easier to think of this in terms of "relatedness" rather than sweetness, brownies are already loaded with sugar after all. What's a sweet thing that's similar in some way to a brownie?
Hint 2: Curse euphemism.

Gelatin Hint: Gelatin as in the baking ingredient, not as in the brand Jell-O. What's something with a similar texture to gelatin but just sweeter?
Hint 2: Toast.

Child Hint: Well hopefully you don't eat children, so maybe "sweetness" is using a different meaning than taste?
Hint 2: Barbecue.

Type of dog: Look at the row of clues it’s in.

Rifleman: Think old time-y, like around the Civil War. What would a rifleman of that era be?
