... did you pick up the book in the gate to Oakside Park?

When you get the key and go to Kate's room, go out the gate and follow the path. Feel free to explore. You might see Tall Thin and Faceless once or twice, but he's mostly harmless in this level.

All you have to do from there is follow the path to the gate and find the open book on a table to really start the game, as it's not very scary on the first level.

That's not a girl, that's Charlie. That said, keep following the path. You'll come across a third and final generator - ignore what it lights and continue on the path, as there are no collectibles to be found there. You'll come across another building. Go in it and through it, going through each open doorway (ignore the fenced-off areas) and look to your right when you enter the third room. If there is no book there, look closer. If you can't find it, keep wandering the building.

You're welcome.

Remember - if you don't know where to go, explore. Explore and explore. If you can't find something, keep looking. If it takes you about ten or fifteen minutes just to find the next level (for instance, you wake up in a forest after finishing The Eight Pages, with the mining facility that contains Into The Abyss nearby but not immediately visible) ask what you're supposed to do on here.

Did you find the fuel in the Cellar and go through the main farm building (I have no idea what to call it - it's that thing with the two cylinders) back where you started?

The key is at a randomly picked spot beyond the main farm building. Check the treehouse and the wheelbarrow first.

Also, Homestead has a tendency of freezing the game at the moment, specifically right after you leave the Church - you might want to try and find a cheat to unlock all levels, as, well, you can't get through the level if it's frozen.

Remember: Google is your friend.

That would be the grain silos.
