Issue with video memory? Any help please

I haven't played this game since 2019 and decided to play it through again. I have a 4090 and 13900k with 64gb ram and I am getting a video memory error message?

I have not had this issue with any other game and I have been playing, and I am playing very demanding games with no issue. So I don't think it is a hardware issue since everything else have runs great.

I checked online and read something about dropping my core ratio in BIOS. That's new territory for me and I don't want to mess with BIOS. I use afterburner though to watch temp. I am hoping someone on here has had this issue and fixed it and can help. Thanks

it is generally safe to change bios settings. you can always change them back.

I would ignore it but the game crashes to desktop at start up. I am trying to install latest nvidia driver from web and not gefore experience and see if that works...

i updated my drivers recently and the game works for me. that does not mean that your problem is driver related but, it could very well be.

I updated the driver but it still crashes. I got in contact with blue isles Studios and they told me to verify file integrity through steam. Did that but still crashes. Oh well. I think I will wait for more updates and hopefully it will work.

you could try to run it in windows 10 compatibility mode.

Compatibility mode only has windows 7, 8 and vista. I ran it on windows 8 and it got passed the intro, but crashes right before main menu screen. Interesting.

Ok it is working. Restarted computer and ran it on windows 8 compatibility and it works. Thank you for the help!

that is good. what this means however is that the developers needs to fix the game, so that it can run even on the latest hardware.
