(Spoilers) Actually, it is! It's based off a news report of two girls stabbing one of their friends in the woods. They thought that if they didn't, Slender would come after them. Slender is not real, but the Slender incident is. The Slender incident is mirrored in the Arrival by Charlie and Kate becoming proxies to Slenderman and killing Lauren. Thanks for lending a bit of truth to this otherwise silly thread. It is sick and disturbing that two girls would lure a classmate into the woods with the intent to kill her. When they left her for dead, thank god she was able to crawl to the streeet and be helped.
Slender Man is not real. Slender: The Arrival is a fun game. The so-called Slenderman Stabbing is real, heartbreaking and disturbing. It points to the fact that the real monsters are human.

Slenderman isn't real. There's absolutely no evidence of him existing. If he did exist, we would all be completely safe because we are not in the Matheson bloodline. Slender The Arrival does reference true events and is based on a true story. The game isn't real. Lauren, Kate, Charlie, CR, and Frieda are made up characters by Blue Isle. Robomagon is just joking I believe, and there is nothing wrong with that : D

Sorry, I was unaware, you are correct. (I originally thought the stabbing was earlier) I still find it disturbing that the ending of this game is so similar to that event that happened later in 2014. The parents in that report described the children talking about a mansion to go to after doing the work for Slendy. They could be talking about Kate's House, or the Matheson Household, though that's a bit unlikely. Thanks for correcting me. This game is NOT based on a true story then.

Yes actually it is. I know one of the victims, she was a family friend but she died mysteriously around a decade ago. This game is based off on her notes found in her room and things her family told.
