Slender: The Arrival

Slender: The Arrival

The issue I have with the SlenderMan's model.
Even though I never played this game I saw a full Let's Play of it from Markiplier and it looked AWESOME!
Everything was phenomenal, the graphics, the audio, the atmoshpere and the variety. Both Kate and the SlenderMan look awesome and are greatly modelled, and while Kate isn't that much scary-looking compared to Slendy I gotta say that she is quite nicely done for being a "normal human enemy". The only real issue I have with this game is a really small one, so small that you could consider it a nitpick, however it's still something that I personally found it could have been easily foxed or avoided entirely. What is the issue?

Simple, the SlenderMan is taller, has got claws instead of sliiy glves and a "burned" face so he's definitively more creepy that the old on from Slender: The Eight Pages, but there still is the same problem that the model in Slender: The Eight Pages had: it's the lenght of the arms, they're too short!

Seriously, while the SlenderMan can indeed be scary he is still a bit too "standard" for my likings, in The Arrival he's like a giant businessman with white skin, claws and no face; and while that can be a little bit creepy it's not enough in my opinion; so the SlenderMAn IS scary but 70% of the fear factor comes from the sound design (creepy music and sound effects) and the dark atmosphere, things that every good horror game should have.
If they wanted to make the SlenderMan more scary they could have simply added another part of his mith into the game: the abnormally long arms.

If you wanna look at them here's the model used in TEP:

And here's the ons used in The Arrival, basically an "upgraded" version of TEP's one:

And while we can say that his arms are a lot longer than a normalhumans' one that's only due to him being taller, as the proportions are kept the arms are longer only because his whole body is "stretched". However to make the SlenderMan more threatning and actualy scary they should have lowereddown the level of his hands, thus elongating the arms and giving them the unnatural lenght the original creepypasts describes.
Heck, the SlenderMan's Shadow clone-games (the unofficial clones that everyone hates forcopying the original Slender without Parsec Production's permission) are probably the only Slender games that got it roght, while the first SlenderMan model they used for Sanatorium, Hospice and Elementary was nothing special, the other one used for Mansion, Claustrophobia and 7th Street had particularly long arms, click on this picture to have a look at it:

They almost reached his foot! Plus the way he curved them made him look a lot bigger and more firhgtening that what he actually was.
Now imagine if the SlenderMan model in The Arrival had arms that long, reaching the mid of hils calf; in my opinion he would have been MUCH scarier than what he is now because he would have looked even bigger than now, more unnatural and generally something easier to be afraid of.

Anyway that's just my personal opinion, however I would like to know what this game's players thinkof SlenderMan's model in the game.
Like I explained here, for me it currently is the best model I've ever seen, if only those arms were longer...
