1) If you push your centre pawns, as you said, you can move your bishop to the square off the board where it will be able to take the opposite castle (EG: c1 to i7) the troll will usually take his own knight or pawn with the castle.
2) Anyone can move any queen, including you. After the troll moves his queen's bishop you can move her onto the gift left behind, taking her out.
3) If you take one of his rook pawns with your own rook before it can move, both rooks will become a castle, which is technically a two for one, but only if you feel comfortable playing with no rooks.
(Also some other tips if you can cheat)
1) Open your rules book before moving your first piece. It's usually impossible to call out cheating, but this helps to really turn the tides. Use your free cheats to either freely kill annoying pieces (Move them on top of a random gift of knowledge) or, if no gifts exist, move the one bishops on top of the other. As soon as one moves it will leave a gift, taking out the other.
2) If you find yourself in a situation where it's just the troll and a few of your pawns and you're struggling to take, he will eventually cheat, moving your piece being pretty common, so I leave that page open as using your free cheat to move him onto a gift is solid.
3) As much as I'm harping on and singing the praise of calling him out you only feasibly have time to call out 1 or 2 cheats,
Hope these help and you win soon!
Hi! I don't know if I am understanding you correctly, but there is no achievement for rocket mode. Only for rapid, blitz and bullet. For none of these it is required to refrain from cheating. If this somehow was the case for you, I would love to know so I can fix it!

the real problem with rocket mode is that you only have limited amount of cheats that you can use (about 4) before time runs out, so I don't do that anymore in speedrun mode. Also you have to very familiar with the rule pages.
check out this video of mine with timer on 3:10, I use these strategies a lot. I still made a lot of mistakes in terms of normal chess games which I absolutely suck at, but still managed to win.
