[SOLVED] No sound on Arch Linux
Hello there !

I have absolutely no sound in this game. Every other Steam games are working fine except this one.

Is it a known issue ? What tests can I make ? What informations do I have to provide ?

Hi hzx,
Sorry you're having trouble. I haven't heard of that issue before. We officially support what steam supports (Ubuntu), but I also dev on Debian and haven't had that problem. Elegy is running on the Unity3D game engine and we haven't done anything unusual with the sound, so I suspect it might be related to the combination of the version of Unity and Arch Linux. The arch linux wiki suggests that you install pulseaudio: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Steam/Game-specific_troubleshooting#Unity_5_sound_problems

Cheers,
ziba

Thank for your fast answer, Ziba, i'll check this out. If I manage to solve the problem I'll post the solution here for other Archlinux users.

Pulseaudio was already present on my computer so I tried the other option. To whoever it may concern :

- Go to Library
- Right-click Elegy For A Dead World
- Click Properties
- General --> Set launch options...
- Add LD_LIBRARY_PATH="" %command%
- ???
- Profit

Works like a charm !
Thanks to Ziba & Archwiki.
