Sorry you're having trouble. I haven't heard of that issue before. We officially support what steam supports (Ubuntu), but I also dev on Debian and haven't had that problem. Elegy is running on the Unity3D game engine and we haven't done anything unusual with the sound, so I suspect it might be related to the combination of the version of Unity and Arch Linux. The arch linux wiki suggests that you install pulseaudio: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Steam/Game-specific_troubleshooting#Unity_5_sound_problems

- Click Properties
- General --> Set launch options...
- Add LD_LIBRARY_PATH="" %command%
- ???
