crashing after a fight

The game crashes after I finish a stage: at first I fight against a "mecha" and after I take its rocket launcher I get to fight some zombies. After the fight ends and the games loads for the next area, the game crashes. I updated my gpu drivers, I even changed my graphic settings but it keeps crashing... can anyone help me?

dude let me know if you find a way to fix it... I tried:
-changing resolution
-lowering the details
-playing in window mode
-checking the local files

and noone of that worked

I crash every time i try opening the character menu. Seems it's a dud.

i fixed it by turning off the internet AND before the level finishes, you are probably missing a story piece (which is actually compulsory - this is a bug)
