Missing features from the mods SR1 and SR2: Enhanced Edition
I) Missing features from the mod SR1: Enhanced Edition:

1) it is impossible to navigate in the game menus using mouse (in the mod wheel's rotation switched menu items like pressing arrows up / down now, left button of mouse activated item like pressing Action and the right button of mouse returned to the previous menu);

2) there is not Auto Holding of Auto Face feature like in Defiance (i.e. one does not need to hold the appropriate button to hold Auto Face - it is used hidden option of the game Auto Face Toggle Mode);

3) there is not the feature to control the FOV distance by rotation of Mouse Wheel or by pressing (unused in original game) buttons L3/R3 of gamepad;

4) there is not Speed Up feature - Raziel moves tooooooo low in comparison with this optional feature of the mod;

5) of course, there is not the possibility to load the game at the level of save;

6) there is not New Game+ feature (allows to play with already solved block puzzles and with undisappering Wraith Blade);

7) there is not the inverse gravity feature (simplifies passing Drowned Abbey)...

II) Missing features from the mod SR2: Enhanced Edition:

1) Teleport by map

2) Save at any time

3) Choosing Reaver at any time and Invincibility.

Link on the thread with the mod and video with the demonstration of gameplay (below).

Glad they're not part of this release.

Missing cheats, you mean?
wrace Dec 11, 2024 @ 11:24am
Cheats are the official part of this game, if you do not know this. :steamfacepalm:

Autoface toggle mode is also official (just hidden) feature of original game.

Some features are the hidden part of ORIGINAL game, not remaster.

Invincibility is the official cheat for PS version of SR2 only. :steamfacepalm:

If you need cheats to enjoy the game, you're not a fan of the game cuh. You do understand 'cheats' are typically dev tools for testing right? Are you a dev for this game? Stop whining please.

Yep, exactly. View the first 30 seconds of official intro of original game (Steam version of 2012). Do you see my nickname in the third logo movie? :steamfacepalm:

Ironically, he *is* kind of a dev for Soul Reaver. He's the guy who basically made Soul Reaver playable on modern computers and got the video working. Then there were a bunch of behind the scenes things that I'm not privy to, I guess GOG (and Steam, since Steam basically sold the GOG-wrapped version) ended up using his patch without permission, Squeenix had something to do with that, as well; there was also the Bink video thing, since the rights didn't cover Bink, or some such... a mess, basically.

He's probably just sour because Raina got to direct this remaster and he didn't.

This all translates to "He's a nobody." He's not a real dev on the team and he's salty he's not good enough to be on this project. Kinda sad, in a funny way.

He didn't even allow PC Gaming Wiki to host/link his patch, he made them state something like "google wrace Soul Reaver patch and download it". Kinda sad in a funny way is pretty much it.

Yep, exactly. And this logo movie was integrated into official Steam and gog versions of SR1 (which is locked now from the sales on Steam and gog). :steamfacepalm: So they are the real legend. :steammocking:

Very simple: gog sold fan-maded bink patch (my property) to Square Enix instead of creating their own patch (by contract between SE and gog). When SE knew about this (about 10 years later; I want to note that SE placed on the Steam the game with integrated fan-maded bink patch and with additional logo movie I linked - i.e. neither SE nor gog tested properly the work of the game; that's why they missed this logo movie) they asked gog about their own patch (to replace fan-maded one, using of which by SE violated legal rights of other owners; because they did not buy license of Rad Video Tools for selling the game which is using bink api). gog created their product (SR1: Degradated Edition) and replaced by it the version of SR1 on the gog site. But - after two weeks - they returned back the previous version of SR1 (with bink patch) because they introduced additional critical bugs into the game (note: introduced bugs again - they added atiumdag.dll by themself into the official distributive of SR1 with bink patch and this dll caused bugs with textures on video cards Radeon; solution of this problem was very simple - just to remove bugged dll from game folder). :steamfacepalm:

As I said many times to your Raina and other fans - I do not have any ambitions (like Raina), so I did not try ever to remove someone just by the reason that this one creates the menace for me or will grab the part of "my glory" (like Raina did really in the case of remaster - that's why devs did not do the true support of mouse like I did in my mod; Raina prefers to play using gamepad, not mouse + keyboard). And I provided the real tech support of SR1 during many years just by one reason - there is not a one who can do this in my stead. Now my job is finally over at last (it is the real happiness to do not have a duty to solve the problems of other players just because some logo movie with your nick name was added into official game distributive).

Again very simple situation: one wrote lie about my patch (it is the wiki - anyone can edit articles), I tried to correct the description of my product with removing of the lie, another one reversed back my changes time by time, moderator provided the ban for me on the month using this one reasoning, and I - after this - denied them to place the direct links on my patch and requested remove any info about my products on the PCGamingWiki. Instead of this, admins of this resource added this phrase you provided ("google wrace Soul Reaver patch and download it"). :steamfacepalm:

Bro still thinks Square Enix using his mod makes him a dev.

I did enough fixes of bugs of this game and introduced big enough of fine features for fans during 15 years. For no payments. Doing the work of devs who made money on that game with providing 0 tech support during 25 years. And I obtained for these my efforts the same "gratefulness" as you demonstrated above in your posts. :steamsalty:

So: ask your "true devs" (they are not true devs {ones who made original SR1 in 1999}, of course, they are just the third-party team which was hired for creating of remaster; for money, of course) about fixing any bugs. You paid them $15 (fans paid them the same amount for each copy of the game), not for me. :steammocking:
