He's probably just sour because Raina got to direct this remaster and he didn't.
Very simple: gog sold fan-maded bink patch (my property) to Square Enix instead of creating their own patch (by contract between SE and gog). When SE knew about this (about 10 years later; I want to note that SE placed on the Steam the game with integrated fan-maded bink patch and with additional logo movie I linked - i.e. neither SE nor gog tested properly the work of the game; that's why they missed this logo movie) they asked gog about their own patch (to replace fan-maded one, using of which by SE violated legal rights of other owners; because they did not buy license of Rad Video Tools for selling the game which is using bink api). gog created their product (SR1: Degradated Edition) and replaced by it the version of SR1 on the gog site. But - after two weeks - they returned back the previous version of SR1 (with bink patch) because they introduced additional critical bugs into the game (note: introduced bugs again - they added atiumdag.dll by themself into the official distributive of SR1 with bink patch and this dll caused bugs with textures on video cards Radeon; solution of this problem was very simple - just to remove bugged dll from game folder).
As I said many times to your Raina and other fans - I do not have any ambitions (like Raina), so I did not try ever to remove someone just by the reason that this one creates the menace for me or will grab the part of "my glory" (like Raina did really in the case of remaster - that's why devs did not do the true support of mouse like I did in my mod; Raina prefers to play using gamepad, not mouse + keyboard). And I provided the real tech support of SR1 during many years just by one reason - there is not a one who can do this in my stead. Now my job is finally over at last (it is the real happiness to do not have a duty to solve the problems of other players just because some logo movie with your nick name was added into official game distributive).
Again very simple situation: one wrote lie about my patch (it is the wiki - anyone can edit articles), I tried to correct the description of my product with removing of the lie, another one reversed back my changes time by time, moderator provided the ban for me on the month using this one reasoning, and I - after this - denied them to place the direct links on my patch and requested remove any info about my products on the PCGamingWiki. Instead of this, admins of this resource added this phrase you provided ("google wrace Soul Reaver patch and download it").
So: ask your "true devs" (they are not true devs {ones who made original SR1 in 1999}, of course, they are just the third-party team which was hired for creating of remaster; for money, of course) about fixing any bugs. You paid them $15 (fans paid them the same amount for each copy of the game), not for me.
