blood omen remaster not needed

I personally feel like remastering or remaking blood omen is a waste of resources and money. It also doesn't seem likely. A remake of defiance to fix the issues it had is way more likely and would be a good way to continue the story like was originally planned with the cut game lok dark prophecy. Not every classic game needs a remake and I think doing so ruins some games. I feel blood omen would be one of those games. I get that its old and can be hard to play at times but remaking it would lose a lot of what made it good in the first place. The old voice acting is also top notch but wouldn't hold up in a remake so they would have to redo all the lines. At least one of the main voice actors is dead. Without the full original cast to voice it it wouldn't be the same. Not even close.

Ideally the original cast wouldn't be replaced, only 1 of them is unfortunately no longer with us.

BO would take more work to remake then these 2 combined. The primary reason for them to do it is easy compatibility & likely free money in profit.

Defiance will definitely be done & Kain willing crystal dynamics will drive dump trucks if gold to Amy Hennig's house so we can finally learn how this story ends ... A conclusion written by another would be unacceptable imo.. well unless it was written off an old Hennig outline

Are you thinking of Tony Jay or Paul Lukather? Because both have passed away, and I'm not sure they're the only ones to have died. Not to mention those who are fortunately still alive but retired from acting altogether.

I would be happy with a remaster that just cleaned up the graphics and animation a bit. Maybe redo the really really dated FMVs. Keep the voice work the same, gameplay the same.

I would love to see a remake of blood omen, but only if properly made. And for the OG sounds, voices and music, they could've just keep it and make it available as an option, a simple switch in the game setting. Now, the hard part would be keeping that old top down style and making it look good with a modern tech. I will not accept some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Ai image handled upscaling, for example, only proper art or even full 3D, I think the way Diablo 2 Resurrected was made would be a good example of a good remake of an old game.

You can buy it on GOG game launcher for very cheap and its available on ps now too
