2) Amy Hennig who wrote the best games on the series (I.e. Soul Reaver) went on to work on the Uncharted Series which was pretty popular on the Playstation.
I didn't say it was and nor was I comparing SR to Uncharted. If Amy was bought by anyone, then that would be Naughty Dog, not Sony. Soul Reaver was a first party development for Sony, yes, and the games she worked on after this series are on Sony too, but they are for two different development teams.
Okay then. Cool.
The game had a sequel in 2003 called Legacy of Kain: Defiance.
And Blood Omen 2.
Replying to what the OP so eloquently proposed, Raziel did "return to find the heart and revive the vampire" (assuming the vampire is Janos Audron); it happens in Defiance and it's way more complex and has more implications and ramifications than just "reviving the vampire", so I'd highly recommend the OP to actually play the game (and Blood Omen 2, while they're at it).
Apologies if I replied to a person who has nothing to do with this thread, but the OP does strike me as a possible troll, so I'd rather reply to someone seemingly more sensible.
Blood Omen 2 is canonically in a weird spot.
On one hand it´s the canonical sequel of Blood Omen 1 but it also contains Story elements from Defiance in regards to Janos Audron and the Hylden , which are the main antagonists in BO2.
I would suggest to play Blood Omen 2 after Defiance since it´s ending ties in with Blood Omen 1´s ending.
I contemplated both English vs troll and went with "answer only what is asked" with my replies. Covers both angles.
I am going through Defiance after this and just accepting the Raziel arc since both Blood Omens are requiring more work than the Soul Reaver "trilogy" to get working. But yes I see it as 2 trilogies which get intertwined in one single final game. Defiance works on my machine but has controller issues.
Side note: this is how I see the MGS series: as a group of trilogies. Solid Snake's trilogy, Big Boss' trilogy and finally Raiden's trilogy as MGRR is considered canon.
