Seconding calls for BO2 and Defiance remasters.
The trailer even uses the voice and music from Defiance's title menu.
I know that budgets are a thing though.
Still, I would like Blood Omen 1 & 2 and Defiance all being bundled in to a remaster just like tomb raider and soul reaver is, and I hope Embracer carry on this trend of bringing old games back to run on modern hardware with visual upgrades. There's plenty of titles they've gotten hold of that modern hardware and software don't play nice with, so being able to play them again is always welcome.
Best thing would be to remake Blood Omen. Then Soulreaver how they intended the story originally. Lots of cut content from the first SR was somehow used in the other 2 games. This way they also could come to a conclusion with only 2 games after BO. SR2 in terms of story offered very little and the difference to Defiance is just a different realization. It always felt like a redone SR2. All that Raziel is ever doing is to upgrade the blade...
Orig. SR's story had way more meat to it and gave Raziel much more compelling story. Which potentially also the final chapter would have, because he can focus on Kain and the "elder god" , etc...
So Blood Omen, then (orig) Soulreaver, then a third game that concludes the story where we play as both. That would be a dream if done right by the right people.
