These people are just "hate tourists". Check their post histories. They go from game to game on the steam forums just hating on games for no good reasons.
Why are they angry at Legacy of Kain? because of an obscure statue in an optional part of the game? No, they're angry because they saw it in the video. They've never played the game before, they were never going to play it now. They're just here to troll you.

Block them. If we all block them, they'll be very alone. Don't waste your time arguing with them, trust me, I've tried. While it can be fun to push their buttons, eventually they start wishing you dead or sending you vague threats.

Just block them, or report them if need be. They are not fans of Legacy of Kain.

Same fun as Concord or Dustborn? So no thanks for that kind of "fun". But as I have those two games in all possible versions, I buy that remaster too. Because these are my favoured games of all times. Even woke activists can't ruin this fun. They try of course, but they can't!

Someone mentioned about listening to other peoples opinions, but given that the "opinions" I've gotten so far have been extremely sexist, homophobic, transphobic and even a little ableist at times.... Nah, I can do without, thanks.

I want good times with the Legacy of Kain community. The real legacy of kain community, from the olden days of Nosgothic Realm. People who are chill, friendly, open minded. They want to talk about why Kain's Nipples disappeared for two of the games then came back. Instead of talking about some statue in one obscure area of the game.
A statue that still looks like a woman btw.

Anyway, continue to be as hateful, bigoted, antiwoke as you want. I'm going to keep blocking you till this place is eventually nice to scroll through.

I remember playing the Soul Reaver demo on one of those PS1 demo discs. I remember watching my older brother play the full game as a child because I was too scared to play it for very long myself. I remember eventually playing the entire series as I grew up. I even played a bit of that short-lived Nosgoth game. I adore the Legacy of Kain. I am, by every objective metric, a certified Legacy of Kain fan, and I am concerned about censorship.

Curious that the "anti-woke hate grifters" are cast down as fake fans over concerns regarding keeping the games' visuals and spirit intact, whereas "true fans" such as yourself are all too eager to jump to the defense of changes that were either born of incompetence or deliberately implemented in what can only be described as artistic vandalism.

Quite simply they're fake because a silly thing like thinking a statue looks too masculine, is enough to ruin the game for them. When I played when I was younger, when I got the vampire clan symbols tattoo'd on my left arm, when I was a part of the nosgothic realm forums. Never through any of that, did I think "I'm gonna stop playing this game if they make a that statue in the water glyph area look different!"

I didn't think anyone else was thinking that either.

Maybe that's true, but if you truly have respect for the classic LoK series you shouldn't be helping to turn it into the 37867346th battleground for manufactured culture war controversy and cringey 2020s political activism. Literally every new game that comes out is beset by a locust-like plague of culture warriors, and those of us who are here for the games not the politics are beyond tired of their political BS.

And don't mistake this as a post defending anything about the game, the changes are an entirely separate discussion. I'm literally just attacking the culture warriors here. Their inane bad-faith political screeching adds nothing to the discussion and needs to be driven out of the gaming space.

I read the statue thread. This person is trying to divide people by using the Statue as an excuse. Instead of leaving people alone, he is promoting hatred towards people who want to keep the game in its previous state.

I would understand if he simply advised using mods to return to the previous state, but this seems more like a person with a severe lack of attention, which is what contributed to the creation of this thread to continue to pressure people.

What pleasure he is talking about is not clear to me.
