No Online?
Well, that's thoroughly disappointing. I'd been looking forward to this game for a while. Loved the visual look and the idea of the gameplay. But without online co-op it's just not worth it to me. Really quite sad about that.

We're sorry that you feel that way, but we want you to know that we built in an AI space-pet that you can play solo with. I've spent a majority of my time on the game playing solo and in fact that is how I prefer to play. There definitely is fun to be had playing co-op but sometimes you just want to focus and save some bunnies.

I dunno, not every game has to be online. Some games are just better off doing in person co-op.

Hello, Jamie XD

Is there any chance that the game supported GameStream Co-op feature from Nvidia GeForce Experience?

Would be a nice substitue for Online Co-op, hope you guys consider it. :8bitheart:

I don't care about online, I'm more disappointed by the lack of 3-4 player co-op. :/

If you guys would allow for Lan games (like how Thief Town does couch-multiplayer) then we could just play online with something like Hamachi.

No online multiplayer?
I saw the concept of this game earlier and it speaks to me. But the no online multiplayer thingy really puts me off. Surely I can invite some friends over to play, but that's not something we do usually(and I doubt everyone will like it). So that means I'll be playing solo, almost, the entire time.

I don't think you can really release a mp game without online anymore these days. A bold move, but we'll see how it turns out I suppose.

I honestly couldnt give less ****'s about online.
As long as the game's can be played singleplayer and the game is greatly focused on the singleplayer gameplay, meaning i'd really enjoy playing it alone "sorta like magicite"
Then I'd buy it

Hmm, local multiplayer seems more important to the premise of the game: two people that love each other normally live close together, not far apart. However, ignoring that detail, online co-op would be cool.

Honestly this appears to be one of those games that would be better in co-op and its weird that it only has a local co-op. At the very least you should've allowed playing with your steam friends on local servers if not proper online experience.

I got the game on Xbox One and have been playing with my wife. Fantastic job on this one guys! That being said - I have a ton of friends on Steam who were really excited to play the game... and then they saw that they won't be able to play it online co-op with each other which really is the whole point for a game like this. I love the game and really want it to do well but this decision is going to lose you a hell of a lot of sales which is very unfortunate. Are there any plans at all to add online co-op in the future?

This is (going to be) one of the best games of the year. Stop whinging already about the local-only co-op, buy it, and play it!

The fact that this game is built around local and not just tacked on after being built around online actually makes me want to buy it even more. Nothing beats playing a game with a real friend.

It's 2015 and I see more and more games (only indie devs actually) dumping online play. I would love to support indies. I would love to buy this game. But, no online multiplayer for a PC game in this day and age is a deal breaker. I cannot support that.

I'll check back from time to time to see if the devs come to their senses.

(Seriously. This game isn't a 64 player FPS. Online multiplayer wouldn't be /that/ difficult.)

I don't think it's considered "whining" to be disappointed that a game like this doesn't have long-distance co-op. It's certainly a feature I would have loved to have, as I don't have any friends locally who would be into playing games with me. Not every game has to have online features nowadays, but games that seem to be based around co-op not having the option to play over the internet seems like a major oversight.

I might pick this up on a deeper discount, someday. It does look fun, but less so knowing I'd never get to play with friends if they don't fly across the country to visit me.

While online co-op would have definitely been nice, you don't need co-op to enjoy this game. It plays great as a single-player experience. :)
