How single player friendly is this game?
Couch coop is great fun, no doubt. However I will not always have someone available to play with me, especially on the PC which is where I would be getting this game. Question I have then is can this game be completed in single player and does the experience still "hold" playing on your own.

Edit: Just watched this video you guys put out.

Yea that explains how it works really well, I am actually impressed by how the AI is handled on this. Yea I am sold, great work devs.

My thoughts exactly. I've been waiting for this game for years but I knew I wouldn't have anyone to play with. So, is the single player good? by this video is hard to tell.

Bought this on GOG today. Take heart, the single player is excellent on its own. This is absolutely NOT one of those games where the AI co-op partner is barely functional and you have to pick up the slack and do everything yourself, oh no. The AI for your pet partner is friggin awesome - just tell it which station you want it on, be it the weapons or shields, it is perfectly competent at whatever you assign it to, prioritizing targets to attack and defend against. (Indeed, it is often even more accurate and effective at its station than I am!). The only thing you can't assign it to is the helm, so you'll have to do all the navigating yourself. But that's no big loss, because for anything and everything else you can always, always rely on your faithful and trusty space puppy (or kitten, if you prefer.).

Just don't expect that to mean that the game itself will be easy, because it is still quite hectic sometimes, what with running from station to station while directing your pet as well. But the game is unique, with plenty of replay value even on solo mode, between the multitude of power-up combinations and the new ships you can unlock, and the randomly generated levels each with fresh challenges and obstacles. I recommend this game 10/10 even if you only play solo player.

Justn randomly generated stuff isn't enough forn me normally, nor is high score lists with hackers and no lifers.
Are there any goals, secondairy objectives, medals, timelimits (prob not in thisn game ofc) and such to do aswell?

So glad it works fine in single player! I've been following this game for years and will definitely get my hands on it.

There are medals for completing each campaign with a different unlockable ship. But while level completion times are saved, I don't think it is an online leaderboard (may be wrong on this one). One level later in the game has a timelimit. The goal in each level is to rescue 5 cute little animal friends so they can unlock the exit, but there are actually 10 in each level if you are going for completion (and you unlock upgrades and new ships for rescuing enough of them, too). Having just completed the game I will say the levels are surprisingly varied and fresh. I didn't get bored because the game tends to surprise you with new mechanics when you least expect them.
