Online Co-op
Yea, I know. Sorry.

It just doesn't seem too far-fetched to keep asking for this, especially when the only argument ive heard from either players or devs is just "well we like and prefer playing it this way". That's all fine and dandy I suppose, but compare that to the audience that would play this if online co op was a thing.

I've got a boyfriend who would LOVE to play this, but of course can't as he is doing chemotherapy so he wont drop dead soon, and I can't visit him (at least often) since his immune system is so weak, and since I'm pretty active out in the world comparatively. Not to mention a lot of other people have S/O's or friends just out of reach, or out of country who they'd like to play together, but havn't picked it up solely based on the co-op restrictions.

Sales would probably ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ most likely, and would get a lot more recoginition.
The math of it seems good enough to me.
Even if you made the crappiest peer-to-peer system, we'd all rejoice and do our raindances. I'd just like a way to play without using 3rd party systems.

Anywho, overdone topic done, i'll see myself out.

An online mode would complete this game.

I totally second your opinion, this game would be absolutely complete with online coop... i also think character customization would be totally awesome! ( Why not workshop character customization? ) :D: Hope the devs notice your suggestion! :sadpatata:

This game is fine as-is. It's not a game for playing with strangers.

I never said anything about random co op. I just want to be able to host with someone i already know without having to use crappy 3rd party programs

This game could really use online multiplayer. It does not even need online lobby. Only friend invite multiplayer is just fine.

That's a really stupid thing to say, I play online most of the time and 90% of the time it is with real-life friends using Dolby Axon.

Did you even read the post?

I too want to play it with a friend, who now lives in another country
The closest thing there is to playing this game online with a friend is shareplay on PS4. It requires both players to have PS4 and a Playstation plus subscription and for one of the players to own this game on PSN. The only downsides are it boots you out every hour (though you can easily pause and reconnect to the player, its only a minor annoyance) and you can only have 2 players playing the game (it wont work for 3 or 4 players even if you have 2 people on the same console locally and are tryiing to connect in a 3rd or 4th person). If you have PS plus and your interested I just started up a shareplay community for this game so there is a place for people to find people to play this game online with. So look for Lovers in a Dangerous spacetime (shareplay) under the communities section if you have questions about shareplay or want to use it to play this game with people.

I also agree, this game has been fun so far and I have done local coop with other people. I do understand people wanting local coop, but there are people I'd love to play with who I'm not near enough distance wise anymore, and this wouldn't remove that local coop ability

in this day and age and with people having to move all the time due to jobs, life, finacial situations and other reasons, online ability is very much liked. because its getting harder and harder to get friends together to play these kinds of games that are just great with others. I'd be able to buy this for a lot more people if it had online multiplayer and I'd get far more out of this game.

because right now the friend who had this game hasn't been able to play it all that much because its just getting harder to gather the group together.

the op never said with strangers, in fact all the people they said they'd play with on online are definitely not strangers. and several people have mentioned ways to do online with mainly people you know.
