Trying to set up 4 player couch co-op, but the controllers won't work correctly?

Trying to run a 4-player local game using two PS4 controllers (connected through Steam) and two Steam Controllers, but every time I set up a game, two of the controllers end up mapped to player 1, and nothing seems to set one to player 4.

This has been an issue for a long, long time, and I honestly have no idea how to fix it. Swapping out a Steam controller for a wired 360 controller does nothing, nor does switching a controller for a keyboard/mouse set up.

Steam reports all four controllers being correctly connected, so... why is this so hard to get running in Lovers?

I havent had any luck either. Try unchecking the box that says "allow xinputs" and try remapping the second controller.

Same dude, I hate this bug. Any fixes from the devs would be greatly appreciated

I am stuck with this using steam link, I have all controllers in use (steam, xbox 360, and 2 wii u pro) all controlling the same user. I can get multiple players working on a locally, but with steam link it just doesn't work

Before the four-player update, I used x360 for two players. Now I'm having trouble getting the game to see those same two controllers as individuals instead of randomly attempting to control four "players".

Try to reassign the Controller Keys to the Players. For us it was incorrect at first so it wouldn't work. If that doesn't work at first try to assign the Controller itself to the Player and then the Buttons. P.S. lmfao this game has some good devs.
