does anyone play this game online anymore?

I just got Gimbal recently because it looked fun, and I wondered if people were online, no servers, I actually do get bored of just gunning down bots with funny names (ex. Dr. bad experiment).

Sorry, but not for a long while now. Gimbal was great in its day, but the last handful of updates really messed up the balance and multiplayer game flow, and those were many years ago.

thanks for the answer, guess online play is outdated. but hey, i just reached mastermind, i'm happy and excited to see what mess i can think of now.

I actually bought it not knowing what had happened..

Messed in the builder too long to refund, only to realize every server has been dead and barren for a year atleast

same here, i'd just thought that the game was dead. but it isn't, it's just not played online

Sort of game you want to get with your friends and arrange the occasional match with.

When mastermind craft are allowed it's a laggy unbalanced mess but there's nothing wrong with the game as long as you set up a server with a budget limit. It was a lot of fun when people did play it.

I had a lot of fun back in the day. I was... admittedly very much the cause of a good chunk of those laggy, unbalanced ships.... if you had a good computer and the server was stable, there were dogfights between lots of fighters with one or two mastermind titan class ships such as my Samael and phoenix' Neu Unsung, it was a LOT of fun. There IS a discord server, which occasionally gets traffic, and occasionally people boot up matches from time to time since we have the ability to make servers if i recall, but it's rare.
