Is there something I'm missing about the Mana Crystal Mine? [spoiler]
So, after a relatively straightforward, if long, boss fight with Azudor in the mine, everything starts falling apart. There's a time limit to escape from the mine (110 seconds) I believe, which is already slightly annoying--this game is a bit heavy on the timed jumping puzzles, I gotta say. However, what makes this one particularly aggravating is that, on the way out, there are a lot of crumbling platforms and enemies that can shoot you off of them. If you miss platforms, it seems like you can easily get stuck with no way out besides letting the monsters kill you or letting the time run out. Is there some way to at least reload a last check point without having to wait to die?

I've already lost all the progress involved in finding and killing Azudor because there's no save point after you kill him, just the check point. It's possible I'm missing features that would make this sequence less frustrating, but as it stands, it just seems kind of botched, to the point where I'm considering giving up on what was, to this point, a pretty cool game.

Go right two rooms then up, I couldn't find it either at first because the jump up is barely visible. You will have plenty of time to get out, I think I had 45 extra seconds after I took the time to get the armor.

It's definitely annoying. Worse, there two crew members and a set of armor to be found in the place. And one member and the armor both requre the key you just got. If you don't get them before the place collapses, they're gone for good. A bit more warning that would happen would have been nice.

It's still possible to progress through the mines if you destroy the platforms. You just have to find an alternate path upwards(some requiring an ice pillar to reach). The Juggernaut armor isn't much of a trip to get and only takes a few extra seconds to reach and get back over to where you were. The other crew member behind the second demon door is adjacent to the path you take to leave the mines, and also stops the timer when you go into retrieve him. If you progress through the whole sequence smoothly you can get out of the mines with around 30 seconds left.

The cave shakes a bit in the area before the boss.

Yeah, that's true. The guard at the temple exit also mentions not to stick around in there.
I'm probably more annoyed with missing out than on the actual lack of warning. Oh, well. Something for the next playthrough.

Your character also comments "That doesn't sound good" or some such.

I just did this part of the game not long ago aand I think I missed pretty much all 3 missable items :P Also I think 1 or 2 rroooms right of the boss room has crumbling platforms and the one near the exit wouldn't disapear (While the others did) so I was effectively trapped. Level 1 Ice Pillar didn't seem to help me out of the room either, so I had to restart and simply ignore the enemies in that area.

You can quickly reload by quitting the game to the main menu but that takes you back further then if you wait for the timer.

Kinda annoying that the boss was super easy compared to most other bosses faced so far. (There's only 1 boss I know of currently that I stand absolutly no chance against)

Hum, try sparing Disthan life after defeating him in the Sewers in your next run, and see if Crystal Mines Boss fight is that easy. ;)

Also, like Nicholas said, you can go back to the last checkpoint without having to wait by returning to the main menu and selecting Retry.

I did that, on Normal (Wasn't expecting it at all) and found it pretty easy compared to numerous previous bosses. Each Boss phase seemed to have an abysmal amount of health :/

Can you do that after killing the boss but before getting the key? I think there is a door that prevents you from doing so which is kinda frustrating as it means this process involves you re-killing the boss each time.

I'm not sure where exactly the checkpoint is, but I think it's after the timer start. So, if you go back to the main menu, outside the game, and select the Retry option, you should be back with the boss defeated, and the timer just started. But you have to take the key and start the timer.
