Bolt Jump was transformed into Bolt Shackle.

In order to exit the Boss room, you have to cast Volt Aura, the Up spell, it will allow you to go throught the Lightning Beams of the Palace.

Also, if what you want is the double jump, you can now get it by rescuing a new crew member who is in the Hallow (if you use the entrance in the Frozen Crypts, it's in ... I think the third room in) and then buying it from him in the Library.

also to note on the new double jump, it can be gotten as soon as you have the key from the gardens (first poison area)

Just to note here, you can get it as soon as you have the skeleton key, but you really should take the anti-cold elixer with you. The hallow is both far bigger now and its still entirely iced over. Dealing with the enemies there and cold damage is just bad times.

Not really. If you know what you are doing, it's a quick enough journey that simply going in with full health and mana will allow you to escape in time. I mean, you are going in from the Frozen Crypts, so you are supposed to already know that healing spells help with that.

But yes, if one doesn't know what they are doing then the elixir helps.

Depends on your character a bit too. For someone like Gilda who has no healing spells, if you're going for him right after getting the key, unless you are really confident in your ability to dodge enemies, the elixir is a very good idea.

But yeah, any character with a healing spell could just bum rush the place and skill cancel to the guy and run back out.
