Unbind Skill Cancel from down key?
Hello, I played this game last year, and recently when I opened it up again I noticed that new characters had been introduced along with other changes. I want to play this game a bit more, but I noticed that now the game forces the down key to be bound to the Skill Cancel.
Yes, I know you can change the controls, I have set my "Skill" key to another key, but the Skill Cancel is performed by the "Skill" AND the "down" keys. This causes me to lose all my Skill Cancels quickly without intention, especially when trying to cast magic like Ash Bringer.

I know this was introduced recently, because I tried installing the igpu beta, and the problem isn't present in that version of the game, because it still runs on an older version (it still has Bolt Jump instead of Bolt Shackle).

How can I prevent the down key from performing a Skill Cancel?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything recent.

With the current version of the game, I was able to map skill to an unused shoulder button on the controller and have been able to dash/groundpound without pressing down.

Yes, I can do that as well. My problem is that pressing down also performs a Skill Cancel.

I'm playing on keyboard if it matters.

unfortunatly for some reason I don't understand yes playing on a keyboard does matter. as SC while still on down also gets its own button for controllers which is strange.

the only thing we can really do is make sure you press the magic button before any direction for magic (having SC/down on a different button helps a lot in getting this in your muscle memory). in other words unless this changes you can only really practice.

controllers help though as that SC button means you won't use down for anything other then magic+down and helps you get magic first into your muscle memory.
