Forest Adventure Walkthrough? (minor spoilers)
I really want to discover the secret of the forest by myself (and survive with my companion). I know the skills to get there, but I can't seem to get it together quickly enough without getting killed off.

Any tips on what order I should acquire my skills/moods? I'm in the habit of of throwing 10 points into Court Manners and Military immediately to pass some simple skill checks, then Reflexes so I can dodge the maid.

I've already beaten the game four different ways (last time I literally said, "EFF OFF PIRATES I'M BUSY HERE"), so I have no guilt in succumbing to a step-by-step walkthrough.

I would recommend using the debug machine if your struggling too; much however get ciphering last and work on novan history, herbs and archery to start. Also don't bother with court manners/millitary this time you only need to survive until week 30 or something.

Go for Lore rather than Novan History; it's a lower check value, which gives you an extra week or so to invest in something else. Don't worry about anything besides surviving the way to the party and the forest and doing the bare minimum to avoid the civil war (since trigging the civil war will close the forest path). The sense magic check is unimportant to surviving. Bascially, all you actually need to complete the adventure is lore > 60, herbs > 70, running > 50, and dance > 30. You may find it useful to hire bodyguards to thwart the bandits rather than investing all that time into building archery/reflexes, since that requires only 40 in intrigue in week 18, rather than the 100 combined check to dodge the arrows.

I have seen alot of people saying x amount in intrigue, but there are like 3 sub-skills in each major skill, which has me totally confused and lost.

I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, that "40 intrigue" means that the combined total of all your intrigue sub-skills equals 40. So you could have 10 Foreign Intel, 10 Ciphering and 20 of the local intel one whose name I forget.

Internal Affairs i believe....ok, i get it.

Hmm...I was thinking about combining this ending with the musical ending, since I'll be spending a lot of time working on Social Skills anyway, and History/Intrigue are needed to get this plot anyway. Maybe even go for Brin, but I don't want to fall into the "must get everything" trap.

You need skills in Herbs and Running to survive. Horses or Dancing to escape with Briony. Sense Magic is also tested, but I think it's optional.

Also, you cannot allow a noble rebellion or the trip will be cancelled.

To arrive to the party to meet Briony without being killed, you need either a high reflexes + archery skill, or a high battlefield medicine + composure/meditation skill. Since you will need a high Lore to accept Briony's offer, I sugest focusing on Battlefield Medicine and Meditation since those skills build on each other. Faith skills can be gained easily if you're Afraid (which you start the game near, you only need to lower your depressed trait), and Medicine can be gained if you're Lonely... but you only have a penalty to Medicine learning if you are Willful, so it may be worth it to study those even without a bonus.

Good luck.
