Now here comes a unusual question: Does this apply in reverse? (i.e. buying the Steam version and wanting to get a non-Steam version, useful if you get mad and ditch Steam in the future, want a non-DRMd version without waiting for a bundle, or simply something to play offline if your Internet dies and the Steam client decides to play hardball with you).
Anyway, the game sounds interesting. I'll be giving a try to the demo. Being available for Linux is another big plus on my book, so thanks!
Unless I activated my code on some secret account I have which I don't even know about while sleep-walking... I'm not sure what's happening here.
Any help would be appreciated.
I could have gotten this game and a Steam Copy by just foregoing the 10% and paying the full price of $9.95 instead of the Steam copy which is $8.99 as of this time.
So, could we owners of the Steam copy ever get a license key for the non-Steam version? Its too late to get a license key from Hanako as I got the Steam copy.
PS: I just bought it now (Steam copy), after enjoying the demo. Speaking of demos, the demo gave me the option to save the game so that I could continue where I left off. Where is the saved file?
Linux: ~/.renpy/LongLiveTheQueen/
MacOS X: ~/Library/RenPy/LongLiveTheQueen/
Windows XP and 2000: C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data\RenPy\LongLiveTheQueen\
Windows Seven and Vista: C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\LongLiveTheQueen\
AppData and ApplicationData may be hidden on some Windows installations; if so, going to %APPDATA% in Windows Explorer should take you there.
Thanks!
Now, about us LLTQ Steam copy owners...can we have our own non-Steam license keys? I didn't realize that I could get a Steam Key by buying straight from Hanako, though I thought about it at first. I chose to get LLTQ from Steam because of the Steam Cards and Achievements.
If I knew that getting a license key from Hanako could get me a Steam Key as well, I could have gotten it from Hanako instead even if I had to pay $9.95 instead of $8.99
I don't know whether or not we'll be distributing non-Steam license keys to Steam customers -that's something Hanako and I will need to talk about a bit first before either of us can say anything with certainty!
From a player perspective - what would the benefits of getting non-Steam keys with a Steam purchase be?
