Indeed, I thought exactly the same. Good work deserves good money. I gave this game a try and it certainly is not bad with some genuinely good ideas but not worth five dollars as it is now.
After all, two years ago I had no way to imagine that this would someday end up on Steam and with a rather different standard hardware audience!
Art is expensive, and everyone being unwilling to pay full price for a good game that's already priced so low by default is a perfect example of why games like this can't afford to do multiple-resolution art assets and instead have to rely on scaling.
Don't expect any 'sense' from certain people.
Says the guy that thinks a game with dozens of hours of potential playtime isn't worth five dollars because he has to *gasp* play it in a window.
I swear, the self-entitlement of gamers these days...
