How to get past the posined chocolates

I must suck at this game since I only have 4 of the acevments and I cant get past the poison. Help reqested

Well if you have either dogs ≥ 50, trade + production ≥ 60, divination ≥ 70 or court manners ≥ 80 then you can "save it for later" and avoid dying. You can survive if you eat them and have posion ≥ 70.

You can also either kill or "persuade" the person that sends these chocolates to you.

I get past it using Court Manners, so that I don't have to go to the birthday party

Use the dogs trait so your pup will warn you.

It helps when you have your trade and production high enough, she realises she should've heard of the merchant house, then you can choose if you want to eat them.

i get my all my medicine skills insanely high at the start of the game. works every time

Divination works just fine for almost every incoming danger, as long as you trust it.
but even if you know of the incoming war gods will not save you

Max your poison or atleast make it to 50
