Curious about getting certain Epilogues?
Okay, I just beat the game last night for the first time! Yay me! I used this guide to complete it: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=495398791 and I was wondering something...

I'm happy with the Angel Ending I got, except for one thing. The fact that I got the Religion epilogue instead of Sailor Briony/Happy Peasants epilogue. Perhaps it's just because I was using THIS particular guide, but I feel like there MUST be a better way to gain high Lumen approval WITHOUT, say, killing Togami (and subsequently presumedly getting the Threat of War epilogue) like this guide used as a way to get it, for example, right?

Technically you can get high Lumen approval without killing Togami, but I'm 99% sure there will always be a threat of future war that goes along with it.

Also, congrats!

The thing is, TV Tropes gave me this impression that it IS possible with this trope listed: Golden Ending: If Elodie is educated enough to allow the creation of the printing press and centralized hospitals, hasn't been unnecessarily cruel to anyone (and even saved others from cruelty, such as convincing one of the earls to not slay the woman who attempted to poison a duchess out of revenge for her brother's death), has the public accept Lumen, and doesn't kill her mother's murderer and makes him withdraw by peaceful means, she goes on to become a good and wise queen, known for forwarding technology and peace.

Lumen reaction was neutral, not high in my ending. And if Togami was my mother's murderer, I never found that out either.

I don't recall if I ever discovered that Selene was a Lumen either. The wiki mentioned that...

Ahhh, don't go to Tvtropes. It claims it will ruin your life by giving spoilers and preventing you from looking at fiction in the say way again (it claim you will keep seeing deployment of tropes) but the REAL problem is that you will keep... clicking... and reading... and find another page

Too late. Already been a part of the community for 4-5 years now. I like the site, sue me! It's useful, it's fun.

In all seriousness though... it just doesn't feel fair, you know? Doesn't feel right. I mean, think about it: Elodie is renowned in this ending for being a wise, compassionate, progressive queen and everyone loves her and she lives out a happy life with her husband... yet despite that she herself is a Lumen, and has outright stated to the people why Lumens are needed in the kingdom after stopping the demon possesed man with Julianna (which the people only don't applaud her efforts due to them trying to be polite nobles), has fought a man who's also a Lumen WITHOUT resorting to violence like one would expect... they STILL only expect that Lumen reactions are neutral after all that?!

Now if things were flipped, where if Togami was killed in the duel by Elodie, and that was the neutral part to it (because it shows both that Luman Magic can be both hurtful and helping and that even Elodie is willing to resort to the former if drastic measures must be taken), that'd be one thing. But the game expects you to believe that for all the good Elodie has done with her Lumen Magic, all the praise she's given it, showing that it's needed and can indeed be used for good... and yet the reaction at the end is ONLY neutral at best.

I call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on that.

While even I sometimes have trouble working out what events are mutually exclusive, if you got the scene with Elodie giving an impressive speech to her nobles about how great Lumens are, you SHOULD get a positive Lumen epilogue unless something else happened elsewhere in the story to negate that.

'Country was invaded by an evil Lumen overlord' may be the problem there. Even if you managed a peaceful resolution with him in the end, that's only after he did invade and kill a bunch of people, and then it wasn't magic that you used to stop him.

Hmmm... perhaps it WAS the walkthrough I used then...It DID tell me to imprison Julianna for some reason... And I don't recall discovering Selene as a Lumen OR Julianna's lover...

I just want things to be absolutely happy, and you don't give it to me. It's that one little kernel of unhappiness, unsatisfying, that's bothering me. :( The Angel Ending is meant to be the Golden Ending, the happiest ending, yet I only see Silver...

(If anyone goes to TVTropes and is confused, I updated the page since that bit was technically misinformation.)
