[May contain Spoiler] How to make Elodie "unable to have children" with Talarist ?

According to wiki (URL http://longlivethequeen.wikia.com/wiki/Talarist ) and this thread ( URL http://steamcommunity.com/app/251990/discussions/0/1621724915775709222/ ), Talarist want to have children and will divorce Elodie if she can't.

I did play through the game and end up married Talarist. They have 2 daughter (epilogues).

I wonder what even will lead to the case when Elodie cannot have children ? Is it purely random ?

There is nothing* random in this game.

(* one tiny execption - if two skill categories are tied for having the most points, a little bit of flavor text in the epilogue which is based on which skill has the most points may randomly pick which skill to be based on. but this is a really small thing.)

Something bad has to happen to Elodie for her to be unable to have children. Hint: it has to do with a character who will benefit politically if Elodie cannot have heirs...

Word of warning most of Elodie's suitors want and/or need heirs badly. This can affect you ending.

Is it something with the chocolates?

Chocolate is not the factor to make Elodie infertility. It kills her anyway.

I got it with King-Dad dying. Adair and Eldoie spent some time in the swamps playing together, bonding as mutual orphans. And he got a bunch of other girls to sire a hier when it became apparent Elodie was infertile. Given who was responsible for the chocolates, I think I know how this happened
