[MAC] Game keeps crashing upon launch

Game was working fine a few days ago, tried opening it recently and it refused to launch. It tries but immediately crashes and choosing the reopen option also crashes it.

Anyone able to help?

Did you adjust anything on your computer or on the game's settings before it stopped working?

Most likely you updated to a newer version of MacOS; Apple dropped support for the version of Ren'Py that LLtQ was written in. We've got a test version of the game in a newer engine up.

To use the alpha: right-click on the game in your Steam library, select Properties, select the Betas tab, and choose the beta named 'alpha'. You don't need a password.

If the game still doesn't work when updated to the alpha, some info that may be helpful:
- Did you try to switch into fullscreen?
- What version of OS X are you running?
- As Hanako says, did you adjust anything?

Also, the old engine had problems when an external monitor was connected to a Mac laptop; as I don't have a Mac laptop, I haven't been able to look into it, but it may be worth poking.

yes, i've reinstalled plus rebooted steam and my entire mac as well.

I haven't updated my mac as far as I remember, I'm running El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G31) right now.

I've always played on fullscreen, and I don't think i adjusted anything. I don't use an external monitor. I'll give the alpha a shot, thanks!

Update: I tried launching the alpha as spikycaterpillar instructed, and it launched without issues. Thanks for all the help guys!

Hi, I'm on Mac OS Mojave now, can I update my Mac OS and run the alpha and run this?
