Logitch Extreme 3D Pro issue
Same issue I had before Steam; it simply doesn't recognize my Logitech joystick which works fine with the Steam version of FSX. I contacted WWII Online support about this months ago but never got a functional reply. Anybody else having this problem?

Hey GattPDX.
I have this joystick and the normal client installed and there it works fine.
Perhaps try downloading normal client from website just to see if it is an issue with steam client or in general for you?

Pretty sure It has someting to do with steam, I've seen a thread from another game with the exact issue, that guy ended up deleting a steam file to fix it. But that thread is now gone tho, So good luck

Thanks for the comments, guys. In my case, the issue happens both in the regular and Steam versions. USB interface. It works FINE on Flight Sim and other games, just not on this one. Thinking I'm going to have to try a different joystick.
I had the same problem after the latest patch, with a stick which has always worked fine with the game before. Another player, on the WWIIOL website forums, said to go into Control Panel, Devices and Printers, right click on the icon for the joystick, and set it to "use with older programs" or to set it as the preferred device. The older program popup was what came up for me, and the stick's been working fine ever since.

THAT SOLVED IT! Nicely done, sir!

I didn't find "use with older programs" but I had to set it as the preferred device. Also, I discovered that if you plug any other joystick in afterward, such as a throttle quadrant, you may have to change the setting again.

Thanks a ton, and check your six!
