The game should ask you to make one when you initially try to login/play. Every call sign is unique, so it may take a bit to find one that is unused (or if it's something that's not commonly used it may be really quick)From that point forward that will be your in-game name.

A call sign is just a username.
Example: mycallsign92
Example: thebritishrealm
Example: catsrbest

It's old school so no spaces, underscores, funky characters/symbols or anything other than plain old boring text. When you play this game, you're taking a step back to the 90's, which is funny since it came out in the 2000's lol
