Yep, totally agree.
I wish is was a little bit more gritty and realistic, seems to have slight "painterly" look to everything, but I'll take it.
Also, I don't know if anyone at DE would know about this, but is the second PS3 Wizardry spinoff being localized? The sequel to Labyrinth of Lost Souls, "Torawareshi Bōrei no Machi" (City of Lost Souls) showed up on what was called "English Wizardry Portal" under a tentative title.
The art currently in this game is very much based on the Japanese console art which originated on the Famicom/NES version. (The musical score is also a heavily arranged version of the NES soundtrack.)
Nice, I'm still waiting on a paycheck otherwise I'd snap this up rn. I didn't recognize the art for some reason.
My favorite Wizardry art is the static monster portraits from NES/SNES area. Tons of character, always fun to discover new monsters.
Current 3D art for this game looks.. fine, but I'm hoping we can run combat in the OG mode as well.
I don't think there is a route to getting the cool monster art I feel is a part of traditional Wizardry, but sure would be cool.

Creeping Coin appears!
Same! The option for custom portraits would be great!
