I went through so much graph paper with this game! LOL
I got into PC gaming shortly after and didn't return to Wizardry until 7, Crusaders. I would love to see a remake of that!
This is actually the original version -- the Apple II code, running under and through Unreal Engine.
I think that he meant the possibility of including the original as a separate game (not as an overlay) that can be played separately. This would be very nice and without the hassle of finding emulators or using dosbox.
Talking about the Unreal Engine, can you please confirm the system requirements on GoG - it is totally different from the system requirements shown in Steam!
I'm perfectly alright with just 12.
Green overlay is feasible, but a complete removal of the 3D graphics -- not at this time, no -- the way it's built, Unreal is always running and just turning off the modern graphics is not as easy a task as it might seem. (It also fundamentally changes what the experience is, which might matter to our licensors.) But I did discuss this with the lead engineer and was told, from a technical level, it's not impossible but it would require a lot of additional work, so if it happens, I would not expect it to take priority over the other improvements already in the pipeline.
More music is on the way.
The only insight I can offer on Unreal is that we converted from Pascal to C++ and that's what's running underneath.
Take a look at this page:

I got it up and running on the suggested emulator in just a few minutes.
