Nice, and a cool profile you have as well.
On topic: the caveat "when you get the Thieves Dagger" is key, as overall, it isn't the fastest way to obtain a ninja.
For me, it was about 140 hours out of the 180 I played before I was able to find even a single one of these items.
By then, I had already built up an Evil ninja to level 28, using the conventional method. So, for all practical purposes, creating an Evil character with 27 to 29 stat points and then allocating the rest of the requisite stats, over several levels, is still "the way" to develop one.
I am about to convert my Evil level 38 Bishop to a Ninja too, so that I will have one that can cast the full range of Priest or Mage spells as needed. By turning in my accumulated Werdna's Amulets, I should be able to get him from level 1 to 15+ instantly.
Yes, losing 9 in all spell slots hurts, but I already have a backup Bishop closing in on 9's across the board, so the sacrifice is acceptable in the interest of tactical flexibility.
Meanwhile, the single Thieves dagger I have is sitting unused, in the inventory of my Thief, as I simply don't need another ninja at this point (keeping him a Thief would also be valuable if I decide to grind the Floor 7 Fire Dragon, as I am not trusting a Ninja to consistently identify the multitude of traps in a typical farming session).
I wouldn't say sore thumb, but there is a slight clash. Well worth the nice images in my opinion. *Shrugs*

Thankfully, mixing and matching Good and Evil characters is trivial, as anyone can join any party in the Maze, so a Neutral ninja isn't essential. My Evil Ninja and Evil Bishop readily party up with my Good Lord, Samurai and Bishop. It just makes things more convenient when changing characters via the Tavern.
I see that you like using Neural Love for the fantasy images. For all the controversy around AI art, it is a pretty efficient way to produce custom portraits for CPRG's.
There are so many cool portraits out there, it's just mind blowing.
