Wizardry Variants is handled by a *completely* different group and publisher (Wizardry's rights are kind of a mess...).

I could be wrong but, I believe it's handled by a Japanese company which bought rights to carry on the 'Wizardry' name with their games... of which I know of at least one. It was a bit irritating to listen to their character sound effects though... like fingernails on a chalkboard imo. Ugh!

I'm assuming that won't happen for ten years or so and then it'll be released like the MegaMan dive offline one.

The have to milk it for all its worth first, after all.
