A letter to the Developers:
Hi. I’ve been a fan of the Wizardry series since the 80’s. I never had the chance to play the originals from Apple II but started with the NES version. Wizardry means a lot to me. It made me love RPGs along with the Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest) series.

I was a lonely kid that lived on a semi-dangerous neighborhood and had very limited access to go outside until a certain age because of this. Besides school, most of the time i was stuck at home, only with my game console and the games i could get. Luckily i managed to get, trade or borrow many different games with school buddies and close neighbors. But Wizardry was something else. It was a game that most of my friends didn’t understand or liked due to the style and hardcore difficulty, but it became my favorite exactly because of all of this.

Also, it helped me learn and polish my English (second language after Spanish) and made me build that hardcore experience and likeness.

I only managed to play Wizardry 1 & 2 on NES, and after, Wizardry 5 on the Super NES. Also Wizardry 8 on PC later on.

Fast forward today, i’ve been more than happy to enjoy this new Wizardry 1 remake and it made me feel that same feeling back in the days, even better. I can’t have enough of this game so far, i want more. i NEED more. I want to play all new remakes from 2 to 5 with this same treatment which has been just perfect.

But here’s the thing: i’m basically dying. Between a really hard case of diabetes and a bunch of other illnesses like neuropathy, retinopathy, lung problems, rheumatoid arthritis and some more i don’t want to mention, i’m not sure if i will ever be able to see the light of these games. I haven’t heard from the developers here on a long time, no sign of life, no updates, no news, nothing for some time now. Noone has.

I’m writing this letter with crossed fingers holding hopes for an official answer but i have no idea if i’ll ever get one. I know i’m just one person, one single fan, but i‘m sure that many others want to hear from you too.

I don’t know how much time i have left. maybe some years, maybe this one, no idea. But i’ll keep hoping for some exciting news about the sequels, regardless of standalone games or as DLC for this one.

I hope that everyone reading this have a wonderful day and that our wishes may come true!

I'm sorry to hear about your health. You have my thoughts and prayers primo.

You might try sending this letter straight to Digital Eclipse in hopes to getting a response. I've noticed they have been trying to hire a few upper level engineers and they have been pushing out other games like Power Rangers as of now. So I'm wondering if the original devs who worked on this game or even still around. Good luck and best wishes!

Thanks for the good wishes brother. I want to disclaim that if the devs ever reply and i don’t reply back it is most likely that my computer died, i’m incapacitated or dead. Let’s hope none of this happens for a long time.
