Knight of Diamonds
I saw the post about how sales would impact developing other titles in the saga. I hope y'all are doing well with sales, and maybe decide to do a kickstarter -- I'd be in, for sure. You did a great job with this revision/update of Proving Grounds, and it would be a lot of fun to play KoD!

Hear, hear! Count me in for any Wizardry game the team wants backed.

I like what they've done with the game. They just need to restore the ability to control combat speed (and add the option to turn off animations). Also, it would be nice for them to provide an option turning off stat loss when you change classes, to incentivize experimentation with different class combos.

I second that thought! Combat speed (the (T)ime option) was a core mechanic that does not work anymore and not being able to turn off animations makes it even worse for players to grind in the dungeons. The stat loss and aging option for class change would be a nice extra for players to choose from.

For sure I'm in, and for sure Legacy of Llylgamyn as well. It was my favorite of the 3.

This is already in the game under the new quality of life improvements. Set your characters to "stat buy" and there's another toggle in there that stops stats from going down on level up. (Or the two are connected. You can exploit level drain to max stats.)

I'm not talking about random stat loss upon leveling. I'm referring to the stat loss that occurs when you change classes. As you get reset to racial baseline stats, you are usually losing 8+ points per stat at the time you make that transition. This is especially egregious when changing a character to a Ninja. You need at least 17 in all stats but when you switch, you are back to 7 to 10 per stat (depending on your race).

Knight of Diamonds has a Metamorph Ring and a Coin of Power. The Ring will change you to a Lord, and the Coin is random any class change. None with stat loss if my memory is correct. Of course that was 40+ years ago. lol

The problem with the coin of power is that the 1st use will randomly change you into any regular or elite class. Each time you use it after that has a good chance to destroy your character (lost) forever. It's been 40 plus years since I played KOD on my Apple, so I'm not sure is the ring does the same thing.

My memory is the Ring only works once to Lord, just don't use it on a Lord. But as you stated that was 40+ years ago. I'm not 100%
