A remake of Wizardry 4 (The Return of Werdna) could be fun
Boy, Wizardry is a deep cut! I played that a ton as a kid!

Honestly though, if anything was going to be remastered, I'd love to see a version of Wizardry 4: The Return of Werdna. That was actually my favorite game in the series because it completely flipped the theme and mechanics on its head from the first three games. Instead of playing a party of adventurers descending into a dungeon to fight a big boss at the end, you played as the Big Boss from Wizardry 1 starting at the bottom of the dungeon you're imprisoned in and working your way up through the dungeon levels by summoning monsters to help you fight off the adventurers who act as the guards. It even flipped the combat screens, your portion was the "monster" area and you battled the "party".

I loved that game. I can't remember if I ever quite finished it, it became pretty tough toward the end! But I really haven't seen to many other games in this genre try Wizardry 4's "you're the monsters" formula.

Yes it was fun playing the bad guy getting some vengeance. Loved playing some Limp Bizkit "Break Stuff" while playing Werdna. Just seemed so appropriate.

The best part of 4 was that some of the hero parties you fought were actual player parties that the devs copied from disks that were sent to them for recovery. So some people could conceivably run into their own characters from previous scenarios.
